Believe

Whats the saying? Seeing is Believing? I used to hear that a lot of at Christmas when kids would say Santa was a fake. It wasn't really all that magical, just your parents in their under ware stuffing presents under a pine tree for you to open and than forget about with in the next few months. But Christmas was more than that to me. It was a man in a giant red suit who stuffed his ass down my chimney. He ate our Oreo cookies and left great gifts I still haven't forgotten. I believed. In fact I did for a very long time, maybe until I was a 10 or 11.

A lot people and fans say this about Michigan football. I will believe it when I see it. See what? 1,000 yard rushers? The "1" dancing into the end zone? The team that goes into the shoe and wins? I don't need to see those things to believe in this team. I believe that the ship will right, that our Michigan sleeping giant will wake and win eight games and proclaim, hey the block M is back and 2011 is ours. I believe RR has a loaded offense that will out score people. I believe the D can bend but won't break. I believe that a QB will step forward. I believe in Rich Rod.

Sometimes blind faith is all we got. Maybe the last two season's the Oracle told us your not the one.

                                                                Michigan 2009

Oracle: OK, now I'm supposed to say, "Hmm, that's interesting, but... " then you say...
Neo: ..."but what?"
Oracle: But... you already know what I'm going to tell you.
Neo: I'm not The One.
Oracle: Sorry, kid. You got the gift, but it looks like you're waiting for something.
Neo: What?
Oracle: Your next life, maybe. Who knows? That's the way these things go.

But in Michigan's case it would look more like this.

Media/outsiders: OK, now I'm supposed to say, "Hmm, that's interesting, but... " then you say...
Michigan: ..."but what?"
Media/Outsiders: But... you already know what I'm going to tell you.
Michigan: I'm not The One.
Media/outsiders: Sorry, kid. You got the gift, but it looks like you're waiting for something.
Michigan: What?
Media/outsiders: Your next life, maybe. Who knows? That's the way these things go.

Can Michigan begin learn how to dodge bullets by 2011? or this???

Michigan: What are you trying to tell me? That I can dodge bullets?
Rich Rod: No, UM. I'm trying to tell you that when you're ready, you won't have to.

                                                                        Michigan 2011

I think I maybe getting a head of myself so what about 2010? May look like something like this.

Will Michigan "wake up" and Believe? Will the Offense take that next step and stop bullets in their tracks? Did Michigan hear what it had to hear the last two seasons to get to where they are today? I Believe they did. I believe maybe sometime this year Michigan will be saying this....
Michigan: I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I know that you're afraid... you're afraid of us. You're afraid of change. I don't know the future. I didn't come here to tell you how this is going to end. I came here to tell you how it's going to begin. I'm going to hang up this phone, and then I'm going to show these people what you don't want them to see. I'm going to show them a world without you. A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible. Where we go from there is a choice I leave to you.
                                                                      Michigan 2010

I believe in Michigan, it begins now.

If you are wondering what Michigan 2008 looked liked.........
